General Manager

76 FENCE is a small, fast-growing company based in Schaumburg, IL. We are a full-service fence contractor looking for an experienced General Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience managing projects from start to finish, with a strong focus on quality and accuracy. This position involves both sales on the front end as well as managing projects on the backend. You will have a full admin team for support.

Responsibilities:

• Manage project scope and deliverables from start to finish
• Meet with customers for sales appointments as needed
• Close deals
• Work with the client to ensure project goals are met
• Work with the team to ensure project deliverables are completed on time and on budget
• Work with the sales team cohesively to ensure project success
• Provide support and guidance to subcontractors on how to best complete the project
• Ensure projects are delivered in a timely manner and meet quality standards
• Assist in managing client relationships including managing client expectations and ensuring client satisfaction
• Assist in managing the project calendar including creating and updating schedules for projects
• Coordinate with internal teams (client, sales, creative) as needed to ensure project deliverables are complete, accurate, and meet quality standards
• Manage project budgets from start to finish including tracking budgets for each project and ensuring budgets are met or exceeded by the client
• Ensure all fence installations are completed in a timely manner, meeting quality standards set by our clients
• Other duties as assigned by management such as picking up materials, calling customers, etc.

Requirements:

• Must have a reliable vehicle, pickup truck or SUV preferred for random small material pickups.
• Must be coachable and be able to follow directions.
• Must be local to the Schaumburg Illinois area. Must live within 10 miles of Schaumburg IL
• Must have construction project management experience or similar work experience such as retail management and sales.
• Must be tech savvy, be able to easily use multiple software tools and mobile devices without oversight.

** This is a 1099 position**

We are looking to hire by 2/1/25 for this position.

Our peak season is March - November for fence installation (full-time) and December - April which is limited hours (part-time).

SALES AND OPERATIONS SCOPE

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A HIGH RESPONSIBILITY POSITION. It will take a well-rounded person with people skills, independence, and accountability on a daily basis. You must be able to think on your feet and make sound decisions on the fly without oversight.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: From $3,500.00 per month
